The Power of Agreement.

“Can two walk together expect they be agreed?” Amos 3:3

Agreement is directly linked to receiving all the promises God. It is the link to believing God and his word concerning the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Our agreement redefines us, positions us and qualifies us to walk in true partnership with the Father. Close to how Adam had fellowship with the Father in the garden but so much more.

Within the power of agreement, we have true fellowship, harmony – all things working together, we have true relationship with the Father.

The Greek word for fellowship and intimacy is transliterated "Koinonia".

2 Peter 1: 4 reads "by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."

Through them – through knowing them and believing them

Through Jesus finished work at the cross, we have been re-joined to divinity, we are partners of God, we are friends of God, children of God. We have the life of God inside of us. We have eternal life. No longer foreigners but sharers in the covenants of promise.

There is Agreement and then unity. Two different words but so deeply linked. Without unity there cannot be agreement and yet there has to be agreement for unity to exist. Two walking together that is unity. Harmony, relationship, coming back together can only be birthed out of agreement.

This is a fibre in our relationship with God that is so incredibly important. I hold onto this so dearly. Where would faith be without agreement?
